Inquiry -Based Learning Activity

Integrated Project- A project basically undertaken to earn an academic degree, like a thesis but typically interdisciplinary. So, we planned this activity which integrates academics with the development of life skills like imparting organizing, sharing, and collaborating skills.

Here our Students of Grade IX have taken part in Inquiry-based learning through a case-study based on the Salmonella bacteria affected in the biggest chocolate factory, Belgian.
A spokesman at Barry Callebaut in Belgian town of Wieze said production had been halted at
the factory, which produces liquid chocolate in wholesale batches.

This interlinks various subjects like Biology/Economics /Global perspectives/Accounting/ Business studies and ICT to a particular core topic and revolves activities around it. Our students actively used the ICT and Library resources to enrich their learning. The project has been assessed by Ms. Ramani CAIE English faculty to check their Grammar.

Rubrics for the same was shared by the concerned teachers. Our CAIE Coordinator Ms. Manjula has also recommended to have a session with Ms. Kala a self- taught baker who has started her own baking unit with 150 employees supplying bakery goods over supermarket’s and had Kiosks in leading MBV factories Renault-Nissan, Bharat Benz, and Mahindra R&D Centre. And that session helped the students to come up with more contextualization of knowledge, critical thinking and Praxis and techniques to complete their activity successfully.

So, with the proper integration management, the project activities have been completed without any confusion. The students will be submitting their Project through a word document and after finishing ,this task can be officially closed, and resources can be utilized for the next project.
