The third graders were all set to get excited and experience the farm life, away from the hustle bustle of the city. As we drove to a nearby farm from the school, the students connected the fields with crops and the barren lands along the way to the fields and Gomala of the village in their novel, ‘The Magic of the Lost Temple’. After we reached the place, they became curious like Nooni, and enquired the care takers all about the cow’s routine and how they were taken care of. The children compared the cow shed they saw in the farm to Ajji’s cowshed , naming the cows there as Kamadhenu and Lakshmi, the one’s they were familiar with from the story. The little empathisers also wanted to pet the cow and feed them. The educational field trip of the grade 3 students enlightened them about a world that they were not aware of!
