Competition is ingrained in life and it is a part of evolution. Healthy competition contributes to the growth of students and prepares them for life which in itself is competitive. Recognition outside the school plays a significant role in a student’s journey, and the school also feels proud. This news narrates one such achievement wherein both the students and teachers have been recognized outside the school. Sri S Badalchand Sugankavur Chordia Vivekananda Vidyalaya Higher Secondary interschool competition titled ‘Akhil Bharathi Vigyan Mela’ was held on August 11, 2023. Two main events were paper presentation and model presentation. The themes for the paper presentation were quite interesting. (“Scientific evidences in Indian tradition” for grade 8 and “Artificial intelligence” for grade 10). The model presentation theme was based on Sensors.
Master Sarveshwaran of Grade 8 bagged the first prize in both the competitions. Ms. Sampratha of Grade 8 won 3rd prize in paper presentation and Master Nuwan Gopalakrishnan won 2nd prize in paper presentation.
Ms. Saranya and Ms Lakshmi acted as juries in the quiz and practical sessions in this event. Acknowledgement Mr. Magesh Kumar ICT H.O.D has spent his valuable time in mentoring and designing a model on “Obstacle avoiding sensors”. Ms.Saranya, Ms. Bauviya and Ms. Praveena Prabhakaran exceptionally guided them which paved way for their success. Ms. Kamatchi was a moral supporter.
