Message to our Students

Respected Parents and well-wishers of Billabong High International School,

Our School has reopened after the Summer Break and the bustling movement of students and teachers in the school is so welcoming despite the prevailing hot weather conditions of our lovely city.

We have maintained our focus, this year as well, on quality of education and holistic development of all students. To do this we have invested in a renewed set of school leaders who have been trained personally by expert educationists and Yasir Sir to deliver a world-class schooling experience to all our students.

We are glad to welcome back Ms Pallavi as our Kindergarten Coordinator. She has spent one long year in Australia receiving various types of skills development and training to handle children of pre-school age and now those skills and training are being put to the best of use in our school’s kindergarten program.

We also have Ms Anam now fully dedicated to manage the primary wing of Grades 1 to 5 as a Headmistress Primary Wing. She has a team of lead teachers and activities coordinator to manage all the planned curricular and co-curricular execution of the annual school plan.

Ms Anushree and Ms Bauviya will lead the senior and middle school respectively as coordinators. Our highly experienced middle and senior school teachers will ensure a great learning experience and positive mindset for all our students so that they do well in the examinations and especially the Board Examinations of CBSE. This is a good opportunity for me to also state proudly that our school students have scored very well in the CBSE Board Examinations with a school average performance of 89% and already the 12th grade students have got admissions in various top colleges of Chennai and Bangalore and some even with scholarships.

I am also pleased to introduce to all parents our customized career coaching program run by our strategic partner Mere Mentor for which a dedicated careers laboratory has been now placed in the 2nd floor of our school. We will ensure that all our middle and senior school students go through counselling and assessments so that they know exactly where to focus in their studies to be career ready.

The SPA program of our school under the leadership of Kalpana Ma’am and James Sir and Vignesh Sir will continue to bring sports and arts excellence in our school. We are really proud of our students who won various accolades in Basketball, Swimming, Karate and Skating in inter-school competitions held in our district.

With all the above new vigor and changes I am here in my office every day ensuring that our vision and execution plan for this academic year stays on track and produces nothing short of excellence in education as it has done all through the years of serving the education hub of Kelambakkam in Chennai.

Dear Parents, your cooperation in this digital age continues to be sought to counsel, guide and set examples to our students to focus on their education which means holistic education that includes academics, sports, arts, music, dance and co-curricular activities. Let them not switch to mobile or television distractions at home but rather enhance their learnings at school with learnings at home.
